Who are we?
We are GroundUp Coffee Recyclers, a social enterprise dedicated to reducing waste and promoting sustainability in the local community. Our mission is to provide a simple and effective solution for managing waste from local businesses, and to turn that waste into valuable resources for the community.
We collect used coffee grounds, kitchen scraps, and soft plastics and divert them away from landfills. Instead, we provide these waste products to small-scale and regenerative farmers, who use them to create nourishing compost that grows delicious food for the Ballarat region and beyond.
Our goal is to make a positive impact on the environment and support the local community through sustainable waste management practices. We believe that by working together and embracing circular ideas, we can reduce waste, protect the planet, and create a better future for all.
How Does It Work?
As a responsible business, you can make a positive impact by partnering with GroundUp Coffee Recyclers. By joining our community of resource partners, we will come every week to collect your coffee ground and kitchen scraps and turn it into nourishing compost for local farmers to grow delicious food for the Ballarat region and beyond. It's an easy and sustainable solution for your organic waste. We'd love for your venue to be part of our mission to regenerate the environment.
